I’d like to thank all the presenters at this year’s Kansas/Nebraska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society meeting in Manhattan, Kansas.  Your willingness to share your research findings with your peers was greatly appreciated.  After the points were totaled, the judges selected the following winners:

Best Professional Paper:  Donald W. Gabelhouse, Jr.: The Role of Fishing in Nebraska Economic Development—A Reality Check

Best Student Paper:  Stephen Siddons: Movement Patterns of Channel Catfish in the Red River of the North

Best Professional Poster:  Tony J. Barada: The Use of Trail Camera to Assess Angler Use: Processing Time, Cost Effectiveness and Limitations

Best Student Poster:  Alexis D. Fedele: Caught-and-Released Fish May Alter Behavior in Response to Predatory Anglers.
